There are six vacancies available for the position of Horticulturist, Junior Pathologist, Assistant Professor, Junior Pathologist & Asstt. Prof at the Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya (UBKV).

Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya Eligibility Criteria
The educational qualifications and age limit required for UBKV recruitment are detailed below.
Qualifications
(1) Horticulturist – (i) 1st or high 2nd class Master’s Degree in the subject or discipline followed by a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or Horticulture depending on the post.
(ii) A Ph.D. Degree in related/relevant discipline.
(iii) Minimum 08 years experience in teaching and/or research and/or extension education in an academic/research position equivalent to Assistant Professor.
(2) Junior Pathologist, Assistant Professor (Agronomy), Junior Pathologist, Asstt. Prof. (Pathology) & Asstt. Prof. (Plant Breeding) – (i) 1st or higher 2nd class Master’s degree in the subject or discipline followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Horticulture depending on the post.
(ii) Candidate must have passed the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC, CSIR, ICAR, or a similar examination recognized by UGC like SLET/SET.
(iii) Candidates who are awarded a Ph.D. degree through a process of admission, registration, course work, and external evaluation as laid down in the UGC Regulations, 2009 and so adopted by the University, shall be exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
